Southern California firefighters are battling two major wildfires, the Springs Fire and the Crown Fire, which are spreading rapidly under dangerously dry and windy conditions.
Cal Fire and the California Department of Forestry & Fire Prevention are offering the public an interactive view of the Springs Fire, which is burning at least 3,500 acres in Moreno Valley Friday afternoon.
As of Saturday morning, 260 personnel were assigned to the Springs Fire, including the deployment of two helicopters and 36 fire engines. Including Cal Fire, assisting crews include city fire departments from Hemet, Riverside, Palm Springs, Idyllwild and Corona, as well as Pechanga and Morongo.
